Meet the Teacher

I am so excited to finally be joining this blogging world and I figured there was no better time to jump out here, than Teacher Week!

So here is just a little bit about me...

1. This will be my fourth year teaching first grade. I am so very grateful to work at an amazing school. I'm keepin' my fingers crossed and praying this will be my best year yet!

2. I have been married to this handsome guy for four years. I couldn't have asked for a better husband and father to our little girl. At first we were both teachers, then right about the time we found out we were expecting the little bit... the Lord sent us down a very different path. Sometimes His plans are bigger than ours, so my husband left his teaching career and is now in his second year of Pharmacy school.

3. We absolutely adore our little princess! Parklyn brings new and exciting adventures to our life every day. I can't believe she is getting so big! She will be two later this year.

4. Monograms!!!!! What southern girl doesn't love monograms. A few years ago my mom and I took this love to the next level and started a little business! So when I am not working in my classroom or spending time with my family, you can most definitely find me sitting in front of the embroidery machine.

5. When it comes to food, I am so picky! A slice of pizza and a Coke is my kind of meal.

6. I am a lefty, therefore my hand smears all that I write. I usually come home from school wearning more Mr.Sketch than actually made it to my charts...

7. We are little obsessed with Disney World. The little bit has been about 10 times.  We feel like its our home away from home.

8. I have a silk terrier named Piper. She is six years old and has just as much energy as our toddler. They are the best of friends.

9. My family is very important to me. I have a small immediate family, but my extended family is huge! I grew up very close to all of my cousins and I consider them some of my closest friends in the entire world!

10. I trust in the Lord for strength and guidance every day. I want to do all can can to follow his will for my life, and let his light shine through me.
